Born As One

This is my entry for #SteamWirlers's Light & Dark Contest

Steamwirls are a closed species belonging to ~Woop-Lan; they're knee-high spirits that float using steam. The objects they touch shape their personality and appearance, although all Steamwirls have small whirls on their forehead.
The challenge was to create two Lv1 Steamwirls; one created from darkness, the other from light. I chose to combined them with sort of a yin-yang concept.

The Steamwirl on the left is male, and represents light. His name is Lucas, and his design was mostly inspired by a dove. Lucas is a cheerful fellow, always wanting to play. He hate negative emotions though, and will try his very best to cheer people up if they're upset.
The Steamwirl on the right is female, and represents dark. Her name is Sylph, and her design was inspired by a devil. Sylph is mischievous and sneaky, always playing tricks on people. However, she also has a less forgiving side, and can become enraged very quickly.
Lucas and Sylph were created together; therefore "born as one".

Art-wise? This was pretty much a speed-paint effort from me. The contest closes soon and barely anyone's entered, so I thought I'd contribute an entry
