Hybrid-Chus Back Story

The story of the Hybrid-Chus starts a few years back, after the joining of the six major regions.  With the discovery of Kalos by a Unova explorer, it was decided that all six regions should create closer ties with one another.  That way, trainers could easily travel between the regions, capturing Pokémon along the way.

However, this caused a lot of problems as well.  As they could easily import goods from other regions, or travel there to catch more Pokémon, major exploitation of Pokémon began to occur.  This led to many Pokémon becoming endangered, or even going extinct.  It was a dark time for all non-human creatures.

Upon seeing this, two of the legendary Pokémon from Kalos formulated a plan to save at least some of the Pokémon species.  In order to do this, they fused their DNA with the DNA of an electric rodent species.  This gave birth to the two Hybrid leaders; X and Y.

After their birth, both X and Y were given the power to create new Hybrids.  By fusing the DNA of different Pokémon species with the DNA of an electric rodent, X and Y formed the Hybrid-Chus.

The first to be created were four “experts” who excelled in a certain field.  These four were Vienna the Farfetch’d-Pikachu, Alastair the Growlithe-Minun, Fright the Murkrow-Emolga, and Spectral the Duskull-Pachirisu.  With the aid of these experts, X and Y created the Hybrid-Chu compound.  To thank them for their service, the four were awarded leadership positions within their set specialties.

After the compound was completed, X and Y combined their power in order to create the rest of the Hybrids.  Their power spread throughout the land, creating a Hybrid to every Pokémon species out there.  It was their hope to protect them in this way, to make them less prone to exploitation.

However, this process drained a lot of their power.  X had lost a lot of her Fairy power, and was on the verge of death from exhaustion.  Not wanting his partner to die, Y sealed her into the Blue Stone so she could rest and regain her strength.  The Blue Stone is still in his possession; he hopes that X will awaken when her power is restored.

Meanwhile, the Hybrids found that they weren’t welcome in this new world of theirs.  Others saw them as freaks and avoided them, leaving most of them to lead very lonely lives.  Y noticed this, and was saddened by it.  So, with Alastair’s assistance, he went out into the world to find other Hybrids and invite them to live at the compound.  Word quickly got out, and every day more Hybrids flock to the compound to live.

Currently, Y is working with the Pokémon leaders of the outside world.  He wants the Hybrids to be accepted by others...however, unlike X he isn’t very friendly or open to suggestion.  As a result, the others shunned his ideals and refuse to accept the Hybrids.  It was agreed that the Hybrids would stay inside the compound, and in return other Pokémon would leave the Hybrids in peace.

Someday, Y hopes the Hybrids and other Pokémon could live in peace together...but he also knows he can’t do so without X.  He hopes that once she awakens they can restore peace together.
