RS: Dragon Taming

Jirachi cringed as the Aerodactyl snapped at him, his ears bent back in fear. "D-do I have to?"

Solari sighed as the primordial beast continued to intimidate the Pichu. "You really are rather useless." Jirachi yelped as the baby beast nipped his arm, shrieking menacingly. "Well, if you're not going to help me control Abaddon then you might as well leave."

Pouting, Jirachi attempted to make some sort of connection with the beast.  He extended his hand toward it gently, only to nearly lose a finger to the baby's sharp teeth.  Solari watched with a disapproving frown as Jirachi tried in vain to get the Aerodactyl to listen to him, all of which culminated with Abaddon sinking his fangs into the Pichu's tail, tearing away the charm tied around it.

"Hey, give that back!" Jirachi chased the Aerodactyl as it gave flight with his charm, but stepped on his scarf and fell over.  Abaddon circled overhead, taunting him, the charm swinging back and forth in his mouth as he flew around.

That did it.  Jirachi stomped his foot on the ground, suddenly aggressive. "I said, give it back!" A couple of sparks surrounded him as he used a weak Thundershock on the Aerodactyl; not enough to hurt him, but enough to stun him and make him fall down.  He caught the baby before it hit the ground, taking the charm from him before putting Abaddon back on the ground.

"Behave yourself, you ungrateful creature!" Abaddon recoiled away from Jirachi, hissing.  It wasn't a complete improvement, but at least it was something.

Smiling smugly, Jirachi re-attached the charm to his tail. "See?  Negative reinforcement can be useful sometimes...Solari sir." The Sun Clan leader frowned, making Jirachi chuckle nervously.  Still, it seemed the method worked to a certain extent, as Abaddon didn't try to bite Jirachi on his way past.

Sighing, Jirachi sat down on the sand and stared at the egg in his possession, curious.  What would lie inside, he wondered?  In any case, he hoped it wouldn't be as unco-operative as Abaddon...
